On the Curing Rack: Black Raspberry Creme

Top: New Black Raspberry Creme, Bottom: Previous version
I made a new batch of Black Raspberry Creme soap last week – with twice the purple swirls as previous batches! The tops aren’t perfectly smooth because my plastic wrap fell in while the soap was still wet, but at least you can still see the swirls. The Black Raspberry Creme soap used to be part of my regular line, but now I’m just making it once a year – and I always get requests for it (especially from my mother-in-law)! It just smells so perfectly sweet and yummy.

For those who like to layer their scents, there’s also a Black Raspberry Creme Jojoba-Shea Lotion to match which is available now.

The soap will take a little bit longer to cure. I’m planning to make it available at Greatcakessoapworks.com on Tuesday, October 12.

Stay tuned – the Caramel Apple soap will be ready by the end of the week. Believe it or not, the brown parts have gotten even darker!

  1. I think I love nearly anything that says “and Creme.” Surely your soap would be no exception.

It makes me really want one of those suckers I remember getting as a kid that had a safety loop sucker stick and was blueberry and cream. Even now, I can taste it perfectly in my memory.

  2. I love the new look. Of course, I love the old look too. They are both so pretty. One of the first soaps I bought from you was the black raspberry creme and whenever I smell that scent I’m taken back to the first time I met you at the farmers market. Good times!

  3. Holly, I remember that too!!! You’ll have to come by on October 9th – that will be my last Saturday at the market this year. Would be great to see you in person again!

  4. Amy, As I haven’t been following regularly (still rather “blog” challenged and haven’t figurued out how do to that for non blog-spot blogs) I have just caught up on your posts over the past month or so. You have been busy! I love the look of this new Black Rasperry Cream… the purple looks nicer and the swirling richer and are you cutting your bars thicker? I love a good thick bar. Your Jojoba-shea creme sounds devine! xoxo Jen

  5. The Black Raspberry Creme Soap looks so delicious. I like the layering and look of it. It has a very fruity and elegant appearance to it. Thank you for letting us know about the Black Raspberry Creme Jojoba-Shea Lotion.
