Caramel Apple Soap Reveal

Caramel Apple Soap by Great Cakes Soapworks

Here’s the Caramel Apple soap in all its glory – the fragrance has already darkened it quite a bit since it was first cut. For some reason, the water-soluble titanium dioxide has a way of creating a crackled look when the concentration reaches a certain amount. (Happened the same way with the Antique Lilac soap.) I haven’t figured out what that “certain amount” is yet, however! I used less than a tablespoon per pound of soap. Even the red has darkened more, and fortunately doesn’t have that neon pink look to it anymore! The shimmery apple stamp is lost in all the marbled colors, which are rather interesting on their own.

Still waiting to see how the fragrance develops. After a cure time of around three weeks, I’m expecting this soap to be available for purchase on Saturday, October 2nd.

  1. I love that swirly-crackley thing you’ve got going on there! Nice soft red color, too. Very pretty soap!

  2. Wow it looks great! The swirling pattern looks really really good, I hope you get the fragrance you want from it!
