On the Curing Rack: Limeade Soap

This soap is inspired by Lori P, who mentioned after I made the lemonade soap that if I made a limeade soap, she just might have to come through the screen. Since I have never actually seen someone come through my computer screen, I decided that might be a fun little experiment. So I made the limeade soap in the same spirit as the lemonade, and posted this photo on my Facebook page (I must mention that Lori did in fact try to come through the screen, but was sadly unsuccessful.):

Limeade Soaps by Great Cakes Soapworks

It has a very sweet and yummy fragrance – not as tart as I expected. I love how the different greens flowed together with the uncolored soap. And of course I had to sparkle the tops!

The good news is that I made a full-sized batch of the limeade soap, so there should be enough for everyone who wants one (unless Lori decides to buy it all!). It will be available for purchase at Greatcakessoapworks.com on August 10th.

  1. Ooh, looks so nice! I am finding that I love lime more and more. Those little swirlies look great in the cubes, great touch!

  2. oh my goodness, this post cracked me up. limeade is definitely worth trying to jump through the screen for. 😉

  3. Those turned out beautifully! I like that they resemble the lemonade ones (which I still LOVE love love) yet are different with the pretty swirls. I regretted not getting more than one lemonade so I will definitely be getting a second of this one but no more than three, I am old enough to share. 😛 I’ve been using the lemonade with a poof so it would last.So excited with anticipation! My birthday is Aug. 3rd, just about in time for the cure date, so these will be my treat to myself. Thank you for experimenting, it sounds like a success. <3

  4. Looks so fresh and lovely! I love citrus scents!! The white cube of soap on top looks like an ice cube and I would really be tempted to drink the freshly poured soap. 😀

  5. Amy, that is such a gorgeous soap with the cute little iceblocks on top , I really love it, x Linda

  6. Needs to be scratch and sniff! I love green and I love citrus so this one is a winner in my book.
