For the November Challenge Club, the theme was combing techniques. Basically any design you could think of that involved pulling a comb through soap was fair game! The most common design of this type is the peacock swirl which became quite popular in the last couple years. It was the first technique we did as a Challenge Club in May 2013. This time, I introduced a new technique called the serpentine swirl, and you will see that one of our finalists did a fine job on that one! <\/p>\n

Huge thanks to Brambleberry<\/a> and Custom Soap Stamps<\/a> for sponsoring the Challenge Club this month! In third place we have Veronica of Sweet Vivi’s Bath and Body Products<\/a> in Port St Lucie, Florida with a beautiful serpentine swirled soap in red, white, pink and green:<\/p>\n

The December Challenge Club will feature spoon swirls! This is a super simple technique where you can layer or drop swirl the soap in the mold, then use a spoon to stir up the soap to create unique swirls. <\/p>\n
