The Antique Lilac soap is definitely a favorite for Spring! I get requests for it every year – and this time the customer who requested it happened to be coming by last night to pick up an order when I was getting ready to cut it…so I let her do the honors! <\/p>\n

After all the embeds<\/a>, faux funnel swirl<\/a>, gradient<\/a>, and vertical mold<\/a> experiments, I was ready to go back to my old standby: swirl-it-in-the-pot method. The base is the lightest lavender, and there are two swirl colors: true purple, and a bluish-gray purple. The lilac fragrance is just barely workable for two swirls – especially after I had tweaked my colors until I liked them. It was setting up fast in the mold by the time I swirled the top and added just a light sprinkling of glitter. <\/p>\n

The glass plate is an antique item, but because I was having a difficult time picking a background, I took some photos with an antique tablecloth as well:<\/p>\n
