Sunflower Soap by Great Cakes Soapworks<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

I made a Sunflower soap in the PVC pipe molds<\/a>. The photo speaks for itself…I had some issues with migration. So now it’s called “Sunflower in the Kansas Wind.” The colors turned out exactly right. Nice golden yellow for the petals and deep brown for the center. I created a marbled effect for the green by swirling some darker green soap with the lighter green. The scent blend of lemongrass, litsea cubeba, patchouli, cedarwood, and sage essential oils actually smells a lot like real sunflowers. <\/p>\n

One of my husband’s clients happened to be here this afternoon and got to witness the cutting of this soap. His remark: “Wow, those are pretty big soaps! You sell them for what, eight or ten dollars?” Hmmm, maybe I’m not charging enough!<\/p>\n

These are going to need a good four weeks cure time, so I will plan to have them available around September 23rd. Meanwhile, I need a solution for keeping those embeds centered. Any suggestions?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
