I’ve just added two new soaps to the Great Cakes Soapworks handmade soap line-up. And yes, you read right – they are just $4.50 each!<\/p>\n
First up is the Country Clothesline soap – which smells like a piece of sunshine on some freshly laundered linens!<\/p>\n
Next we have Key Lime Pie soap – which looks and smells like a real slice of pie.<\/p>\n
One of the reasons these soaps are smaller is that I’ve trimmed off one of the edges to make a perfectly rectangular bar. This has been my “usual” way of tidying up the soaps. Then I used the extra soap that was trimmed off to create soap balls. My plan from now on will be to make sure each batch will produce at least four ounce bars – and no more trimming. Thus, the soap balls will be phased out. I have to say that I probably won’t miss the work I was putting into forming each soap ball by hand!
