Today was my last day at the farmer’s market this season. It’s been such a great season too! I’ve sold more soap this year than any other year that I’ve been there. Even when the crowds are somewhat thin, I’ve had consistent sales. So THANK YOU to all my customers!! I appreciate you all!! <\/p>\n

I have heard stories about other markets in the area where the vendors don’t get along and some are trying to run the market and causing all kinds of trouble. I have to say that is NOT the case at the Olathe market. We are a small market, but the vendors support each other. In fact, I was able to pray for one of the other vendors before I left today. I’m really so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful organization!! Here are a few pictures:<\/p>\n

\"Nicks<\/a>Joe and Betty from Basehor, Kansas, are to my left. They have been at this market since it started about 14 or 15 years ago. They have wonderful produce!
\n\"The<\/a>Joe and Betty also had this pumpkin truck today. They have a huge pumpkin patch and have groups of kids as well as families come to visit at their farm!
\n\"Joans<\/a>Robert and Joan sell baked goods on my right. Joan makes all the goodies, and she has a lot of loyal customers – for good reason! All kinds of yummy quick breads, cinnamon rolls, dinner rolls, lemon bars, pies, cookies….and yes, those are doggie treats at the top of the picture!<\/p>\n

\"Mark,<\/a>Mark, also known as “Preacher” to some of the other vendors, has a spread near Bonner Springs, Kansas, where the ground is very sandy – a unique set-up for this part of the country! Unlike some of the other vendors, Mark sells only produce that was grown on his land.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/a>Diane is our “honey lady”. She has been at this market for over 10 years, and also has quite a following! She and her husband also have a garden and some apple trees, so she sometimes sells tomatoes, peppers, and apples. <\/p>\n

\"Elva<\/a>Elva and her two daughters make and sell jewelry. Her oldest daughter was with her today. Elva prays for everyone in our market, and enjoys having opportunities to minister to her customers as well.<\/p>\n

\"Nancy,<\/a>Nancy is also one of my good friends. She sells wholesome breads like spelt, sunflower and sesame, and seven-grain, as well as bread sticks and cinnamon rolls. Yummy and good for you!<\/p>\n

\"Dennis\\'<\/a>This is Dennis, our market manager’s table. He has also been at the market since it began and sells a wide variety of veggies – and, although I didn’t get them in the picture, tomatoes are his specialty. <\/p>\n

\"Unique<\/a>This is Craig’s table. Like Mark, he only sells produce that he has grown on his farm. His specialty is unique and heirloom varieties. I once got a yellow meat watermelon from him with bobcat scratches in it!<\/p>\n
