I didn’t get as far as I hoped today, but at least we have a paint color, and some of it is on the walls. In case you are just joining us, I am working on fixing up my girls rooms this week. And really, Day One<\/a> was just getting the purple room cleaned so that we could proceed with paint. <\/p>\n

Our neighbor emailed me because she saw my blog post yesterday about picking a lime green paint color and offered to show us her baby’s room. It is so adorable!! (Laura Ashley Apple 3 – you can get it at Lowe’s.) She let us borrow the paint can so we could test a patch on the wall. <\/p>\n

Then we went to Lowe’s, armed with a piece of fabric from the bedroom, and bought two samples of other greens. Fresh Pear was downright scary in its brightness, so I had them make the color next to it on the card (Grasshopper) so I could have something to compare it to. Well worth the $4 for each sample. <\/p>\n

Now, I loved the Apple color from our neighbor. Grasshopper was too light. However, I was completely out-voted by my husband, my two daughters, and a friend who happened to come over to pick up her soap order. They all picked Fresh Pear. <\/p>\n

I realize that pictures can hardly do this color justice, but see what you<\/em> think:<\/p>\n

Oh, and my husband also suggested that perhaps it’s time to paint the trim as well. That will add another day to this project!<\/p>\n
