My oldest will be eight on the 21st, and my &#8220;baby&#8221; will be six on August 4th. For their birthdays, I decided to fix up their rooms for them.  Just a few minor things that will make them oh, so happy.  However, to start these projects, we had to do some major cleaning. I painted it purple when she was two and didn&#8217;t really have any say in the matter.  She has been begging to paint it green.  I figured it was a phase, but she&#8217;s still intent on it.  So hopefully tomorrow, we&#8217;ll be picking out a nice mellow, lime green &#8211; if that&#8217;s possible.  Greens are such a difficult color to get right, so I&#8217;m praying we find the right color the first time.  (I could tell you about the &#8220;interesting&#8221; green houses in our neighborhood, but that would be a very long tangent, so I won&#8217;t go there.)<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not ready to paint the pink and green room yet.  I spent many long hours painting it while I was pregnant with her.  She understands.  I will, however, be sewing some new curtains that actually match the rest of the room.
