It was 12:35am this morning when all the smoke detectors decided to go off in our house. Talk about a rude awakening!! It took me a minute to clear the fog in my head and realize what that horrendous sound was. It took about five minutes for my husband to get up and started yanking them all down and pulling the batteries. The girls were stirring, but neither one got up. Why does this have to happen in the middle of the night?? It’s not the first time. Usually when a battery is going dead, that one detector will start chirping – in the middle of the night. We had a full blown alarm this time, and no fire. <\/p>\n

Fortunately, I went straight back to sleep. But not before I realized that I had a song in my head.<\/p>\n
