For the December Challenge Club, we have been making soap with impression mats. It has definitely been a challenge! I’ve made three soaps using this technique. For the first one, I tested out Lori Curry’s dry mica technique using a pre-made impression mat, and came up with this soap:<\/p>\n

I call it Sweet & Spicy Potpourri soap because it has a warm apple spicy scent.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

For the second soap, I filled in the vine and leaf design on a pre-made mat with some green soap, then did a pink gradient:<\/p>\n

This one is scented with Sweet Pea & Rhubarb. It smells divine!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Finally, I was able to successfully make my own impression mat with a vinyl lace place mat, and filled the lace impression with white soap, then made a layer of blue followed by a marbled dark coral. It turned out better than I could have imagined:<\/p>\n
