I got started making handmade soap as a Christmas gift in 2002.  Everything I read about the process from other soapmakers said that it was addicting, and so it was.  I began selling my soaps at the local farmer's market the summer of 2004.  In 2005,  Great Cakes Soapworks was born out of the combination of my passion for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and my passion to make great soap!  It gives me great joy to create such unique and beneficial products.   I have to thank my friends and family for being my most loyal customers, and for their rave reviews of my products.
