Soap Ingredients

All our soaps are made with vegetable oils and butters, with one exception: the Old-Fashioned Lye Soap is made with lard.  We use high quality coconut oil, olive oil, palm kernel oil, shea butter, avocado oil, castor oil, and our sunflower oil comes from a local source (sunflowers are the state flower of Kansas).

Several of our soaps are also made with fresh goat's milk, which comes from Screamin Oaks Farm in Tonganoxie, Kansas.

We offer two basic types of soap: 100% Natural Soaps, which are made with all natural ingredients, and Fragrant Soaps which are 99% natural - only the colors and fragrance are synthetic.

Jojoba-Shea Lotion Ingredients

The Jojoba-Shea Lotions are as close to all-natural as possible.  Even the preservative is natural. 

Aloe Vera Juice - The main ingredient, used for its soothing and healing properties. 

Distilled Water - Hydration for your skin which is held fast by the oil-based ingredients.

Calendula Extract - Known for its healing properties.

Emulsifying Wax (vegetable source) - Holds the water-based ingredients together with the oil-based ingredients

Refined Shea Butter - Super conditioning and rich in nutrients, also acts as a skin protectant.

Jojoba Oil - Actually a wax ester that mimics your skin's natural sebum

Apricot Kernel Oil - Helps skin retain elasticity, clarity and suppleness; easily absorbed.

Cyclomethicone and Dimethicone - Dry silicone oils that help with the feel of the lotion - the only ingredients deemed "unnatural", yet completely harmless according to the Skin Deep database.

Liquid Silk - excellent moisture binding properties and feel; silk is credited with the ability to retain 10,000 times its weight in water.

Vitamin E - provides vital nutrients to the skin, acts as an anti-oxidant, and offers excellent free radical protection
