What is Ruebee?

Ruebee iconMaybe you’ve noticed that I have an icon in my sidebar stating that I’m a member of Ruebee. If you haven’t clicked on the icon, maybe you’ve wondered what on earth it is. It’s actually a community of over 200 Christian crafters and artists. I found Ruebee because of Trish’s blog. This is why Trish loves Ruebee:

Ruebee is a place where I can speak freely of my Christian values and what Christ means in my life; no one here is going to roll their eyes and shrug. I know that here at Ruebee I am going to find clean jokes, fun times and giving praise where praise is due. Here, I am going to see gorgeous handcrafted items made by Christian artists and there are no questionable items that are going to assault me and catch me offguard. I can see items that give glory to God, praise His name, meet honest, caring folk who share similar values and artisitic talents.

I don’t know of any other place like Ruebee. It is truly a blessing.

Amy Larson is the founder of the group, and this is why she started it:

Ruebee was started because there was a need to gather Christian artists to encourage them, inspire them, and promote them. We now have an opportunity to gather as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ to openly give credit to God for our talents and gifts. If sellers are willing….we can also share/help each other with marketing tips and suggestions to help our businesses grow. The Lord gave me the name Ruebee…and that’s the very short version of how Ruebee was birthed.

I got this wonderful message from Bevie the other day and I asked her if I could share it. Like Trish said, it is truly a blessing!

I just wanted to thank you for allowing me to be your friend on Ruebee…it’s a grand place to meet really nice people and enjoy each other’s creations as we create them….it’s a real pleasure and hope to get to know you better…Have a blessed day!!! Bevie

Even if you aren’t an artist, if you like to support Christian artists, you can join as a shopper/supporter of Ruebee.

I really enjoy being part of Ruebee too! I am finding a whole new world out there with other Believers. I’ve enjoyed seeing others selling things in Etsy and have started making purchases from them too! It’s a great network and always uplifting!

How wonderful! And how correct. The only thing I would caution visitors about is that we are CORNY (is that a nice way to say old-fashioned???). While we do have the latest in fashion, arts, home decor, and SOAPS…our morals and values are from way back when - and so is our humor - smile! Blessings and Prayers to you and wonderful to have you as a fellow Ruebeeite.
