Update on the Baby Robins
We interrupt the lotion making tutorial with an update on our baby robins. They are nearly a week old, and have grown so much! There are still two eggs left in the nest, unhatched. I’m not sure why. Except that the nest is so close to the driveway, anytime we pull in or out, Mama Robin gets frightened and flies away. So maybe they didn’t incubate as much as they needed. I tried to do a little bit of research since one of my daughters and the neighbor boy each picked up an egg before any of them hatched. I thought maybe they were the two that didn’t hatch. The only thing I discovered from that was the mama bird could abandon the nest if she smelled the human scent, and that obviously hasn’t been the case. Anyway, the two that did hatch seem to be doing well!

Baby Robins - 1 week old
In other news, the farmer’s market this morning was FREEZING! Even though the sun did eventually come out, it was only 50 degrees and the wind was howling. A vendor’s tent even got blown over, and it was tied down with cement-filled coffee cans! I had two customers bring me their facial moisturizer feedback forms though. I wish I could tell you what they said, but I still have about half of them I am waiting to hear from, so you’ll have to wait! I’ve given the testers until next Saturday to return their forms, so hopefully by next week, I will have some news for you.
