The Big TV
We have a new addition in our basement as of yesterday. My husband got a really great deal on this monstrous 60″ flat screen TV in the clearance section at Sam’s Club. He wanted to surprise the girls and me, so he “tricked” us into going to the pool yesterday afternoon while he “mowed the yard.” Mowing the yard was just one of his projects, however. I discovered it first by accident, and tried to show some enthusiasm. He still wanted to show the girls, so he told them he had a big surprise and we all shuffled down the stairs for the grand unveiling. My six-year-old’s response: “Dad, that’s not a surprise. That’s just a TV.” The four-year-old gave the classic girl response: “Why did you get a new one? The old TV is still good.”
Poor guy. He should have known that girls just don’t share the same appreciation for oversized electronics.

Yo Amy, tell your husband, his kids might not appreciate that sexy tv but I sure do
Oh man, Sunday games on that sucker will never be the same again I’m sure!

Lol. That is too funny! It’s the other way around in our house. My hubby could have cared less when I brought home a 47″ TV!

Hey Moni, I had to edit your comment a bit. Hope you don’t mind, but this is a family-friendly blog. I passed on the unedited version to my hubby.
Elizabeth - I don’t think I’ve ever heard of the roles being reversed on this issue before. That IS funny!!

That is too funny. Boys and their toys, it will be excellent to watch documentaries on it. We watched one the other day about the animals in the amazon. Good stuff.
