Soapmaking Business Perk #2
Believe it or not, I have a LOT of skin care product ingredients in my supply room. I mean, a LOT. I can even confess that I have a few that I bought and *gasp* haven’t even opened. It’s a shame, really. Where is the perk in all of this, you ask? Well….I must say I have formulated quite a few awesome products that I have never sold. One of those is called cream soap. I have made three different batches of fabulous cream soaps which can be used on your face. The pictures show the first two. You can see the natural sheen. They are super elegant, moisturizing, and rinse clean. I have the third batch that I made in January sitting in my basement, because like a fine wine, it gets better with age. I formulated this one as a clarifying soap for “maturing” skin (which sounds better than “wrinkled” as I’m starting to get those dreaded lines across my forehead). I have heard that cream soap is hugely popular in Europe. So far, Lancome is the only company that sells anything remotely similar in the U.S. My goal is to be ready when cream soap gets popular here, and have a killer facial moisturizer (watch for perk #3) to pair with it. Until then, I get to use most of this wonderful cream soap all for myself, along with just a few friends and family members. It’s just one of my perks.
