Soap Updates!

Let’s start with the low inventory:

Red Rock Canyon – just 1 left! I’ve marked it down to $5.00. Not planning to re-stock this one any time soon.
Pineapple Blossom – just 1 left! Also marked down to $5.00, not re-stocking.
Oatmeal, Milk & Honey – just 3 left! Not marked down, but still available in the Handmade Soap Combo Deal – any 4 soaps for $20. This is the soap I made last Saturday, so it won’t be available for several more weeks.
Amber Fig – just 4 left! No re-stock
Moroccan Spice Coffee Soap – just 4 left! This will be replaced with the Hazelnut Cappuccino Coffee Soap next week.

You may be wondering how the Dead Sea Spa Facial Bar is a new soap! I have been making a regular Dead Sea Spa Bar for several years now, but this time I split the batch. I made half with the original essential oil blend of lemon, grapefruit, patchouli, and tea tree. The other half looks the same, but is scented with rosewood, geranium, and ylang ylang – a more suitable blend for faces. Here’s why:

Rosewood has antibacterial properties and is known to maintain the skin’s oil balance and elasticity. The scent is fresh, somewhat flowery, and woodsy. Geranium also has antibacterial properties, and facilitates blood circulation just under the skin which can help reduce scarring and evenly distribute melanin (skin pigment or color). Although there is just a small amount of ylang ylang in the blend, it may assist the rosewood in maintaining the skin’s oil balance. These are excellent for almost any skin type!

Currently curing:
The Oatmeal, Milk & Honey soap that is currently curing has been altered slightly from the original. I ran out of the Oatmeal, Milk & Honey fragrance, so I had to add some Almond and a smidgen of Vanilla. I don’t think you will mind!

This soap was still a bit sticky, so it may need extra curing time. I’m estimating July 3rd at the earliest, and hoping the new soap rack will do the trick!

  1. I love the look of your soaps. The swirls throughout and the rough top are so fun. Great job.
