On the Curing Rack: Peppermint!

Peppermint Soap by Great Cakes Soapworks

Peppermint Soap by Great Cakes Soapworks

Won’t be long now and the Peppermint Soap will be back! This one is only stocked for the holidays, so you will want to get some before it’s gone. I had a hard time keeping it in stock last year, so I’ve made a double batch this year – hoping it will stick around for at least a month! In order to make this soap as white as possible, I’ve used a larger-than-normal amount of solid, white oils such as palm kernel and coconut. The result is a super hard soap with huge bubbles that lasts and lasts. Some people think that a high percentage of coconut oil can make a drying soap, but with 8% superfat, this one is still nice and moisturizing. Just beware of using it in the sensitive areas – Joanna of The Soap Bar reviewed the Peppermint Soap last March, and realized this a bit too late.

Estimated availability at Greatcakessoapworks.com: Monday, October 26.

Want it! Want it! Want it! Love, love, love mint! How soon????

I think I need to gift a bar of the stress relief to our crazy bus driver. Kill them with kindness? Wonder if it will work?
