On the Curing Rack: Apples & Spice

Apples & Spice Soap

Yesterday, I made a double batch of Apples & Spice soap. This soap placed 2nd in the recent Fall Soap Survey. It was the original fall soap scent made by Great Cakes Soapworks back in 2004. I’m almost ashamed to say that I used a brown crayon to color that first soap! Now I just add a sprinkling of real cinnamon – it’s much more natural!

The Apples & Spice soap has been the absolute favorite of the vendor next to me at the local farmer’s market since the first time I made it. Joan asks me every year when I’m going to have it available again. This year it will be Saturday, August 15.
