New Lip Butters
Thanks to all my preferred customers who voted in my lip butter poll, we now have two new lip butter flavors: Limeade and Berrylicious! Limeade isn’t really new, but I had let that one run out, and the customers voted to bring it back. The poll took place from 7:30pm to midnight on May 27th. Twenty customers participated and each received their choice of a free lip butter. (If you haven’t already, you can sign up to be a Preferred Customer in the left sidebar of any page of the Great Cakes Soapworks website.)
If you haven’t tried any of the Great Cakes Soapworks Lip Butters, you are definitely missing out! In addition to Limeade and Berrylicious, you can choose from Strawberry, Orange Cremesicle, Peppermint Ice, Vanilla Latte, and Creamed Honey. They are made from vegetable oils and butters, and a unique plant-based wax. Candililla wax comes from the stems of the candililla plant which grows in the Mexican desert. It has a higher melting point than beeswax to help your lip butters survive the summer heat (although they will still melt in the clothes dryer!). It also gives the lip butters a more silky feel than beeswax. I love this quote from one of my customers:
“My husband kisses me more when I use your lip butter. Yeah, I used to use Burt’s Bee’s, and it would burn his lips. Your lip butters are so good that they don’t hurt his lips, and I get more kisses. Good for both of us!”

I was one of the lucky winners of a free lip butter and I chose Limeade. I absolutely love it. It tastes like summer and is so smoothe. The thing I like about Amy’s lip butters is that they stay on you lips a long, long, time. I don’t feel like I constantly have to re-apply. My teenage daughters love their flavors, too. When I commented about loving my new flavor, my 16 yr. old said, “I use my Orange Dreamsicle every night”.

I know that my kids ask for the Limeade. I know that they will take any of the lip butter’s but the Limeade is their favorite.

I usually use lip stick instead of lip butter. I did use Ally’s limeade the other day and it was a great flavor! She has many of them and she likes to use them. Since she is only 7, I like that they add shine and keep her lips soft without color!

I have tried the peppermint ice and loved it! Berrylicious and limeade sound yummy.

I’m going to get my new flavors soon, and I can’t wait! But, I do love the orange and vanilla latte. I don’t even drink coffe or latte’s–and that flavor, perks you up. You can save a lot of money–just skip the latte’s and use the vanilla latte lip butter!!! And, best of all–no caffeine!

I especially like the strawberry lip butter. I also have tried the limeade,orange creamsickle and vanilla latte, all of which are nice. The lip butters smell good, stay on your lips a long time, feel soothing, not sticky–if you haven’t bought one, you should! Can’t wait to try the berrylicious, myself!
