Natural Wart Cure

lemon dandelion2 150x150 Natural Wart CureA fellow soapmaker recently shared her story about her five-year-old grandson who had 25 warts all over his body. She also had a large wart on her arm. Here is the story in her words:

The doctors would not do medication for my grandson because the anti-wart meds are really hard on the body of an adult, let alone a child. They tried freezing a few times and they just got bigger and the over the counter stuff just burned the skin around them…..well, he had one on his nose and one at the corner of his mouth and one on his forehead and was to the point last July where he decided he was not going to go back to school because he didn’t want to be made fun of anymore…..so I checked out a lot of natural cures and tried this one and it worked like a dream.
Apply lemon juice to the warts morning and evening….just a drop or so will do. I got my grandson his own plastic lemon so that he could apply it himself easily. Then 2-4 times a day put dandelion sap on it…Just go out in the yard and pick a dandelion or dandelion leaf and smear the white sap on the warts. His warts were gone in a month….the large one I had on my arm was gone in 2 weeks. I know it may not work for everyone, but it worked for both of us and it’s not expensive or dangerous.

Alternative practitioners have also recommended the following remedies for the treatment of common or plantar warts:

    1. Apply a paste made of vitamin C powder to the wart for one to two weeks,
    2. Place a crushed or sliced clove of garlic over the wart for seven consecutive nights while sleeping, OR
    3. Tape a piece of banana peel on the wart over night, with the inner side of the peel touching the skin. Repeat nightly for one to two weeks.

Let me know if you try any of these!

Do you think that if you add some apple cider vinegar to this concoction, it will make the solution more effective?

@Eric – I don’t know – it seemed to work just fine for these folks with just these two ingredients. Of course, it wouldn’t hurt to give it a try! Let me know if you do.

I’m going to try this. I tried to apply aloe vera to my warts, which led to some relief, but I did not get rid of the problem completely.

@warzen – I hope it works for you!
