Lip Butter Challenge
Great Cakes Soapworks Lip Butters
I had to remind myself why I love the Great Cakes Soapworks Lip Butter better than other lip products you buy at the store. For the past week I’ve been using a tube of a well known makeup company’s “Moisture Therapy” because I received it as a gift. Of course the main ingredient is petrolatum. My lips are not feeling very moisturized!! After applying, it feels like the skin on my lips is too soft, and I just want to bite it off.
The Great Cakes Soapworks Lip Butter just makes my lips feel moisturized. I use it once in the morning and once at night. One tube will last me for about a year! Not only does it moisturize, I can choose from seven different flavors!
So now I’m wondering how many of you use petroleum lip products and how that’s working for you. I’d like to offer a little challenge. If you love carmex, chapstick, or any other petroleum lip product that you buy from the store, I’m wondering if you might be interested in trying the Great Cakes Soapworks Lip Butter and see how they compare.

I usually use Natural Ice. I love orange creamsicles to eat, but I like mint for my lips, so I would like to try the peppermint flavor.

I use good old fashioned vaseline. I used to use chapstick but it seemed to dry my lips out for some odd reason. Like I would need more of it more often to keep my lips from drying out.
All your flavors sound great with the vanilla latte sounding the best!

my lip balm of choice for now is blistex; however, i wouldn’t mind trying some of your peppermint ice lip butter! actually, all your flavors sound pretty yummy!

My husband and youngest are addicted to lip balm. Mostly he buys carmex…which is gross, thank you very much. I’d love to give your limeaide a try.

Right now the only lip balm I’m using is some handmade stuff someone gave me a looong time ago lol. It’s orange flavored, but it’s a bit too gritty or something.

I am not faithful to any one brand. I have been using Burt’s Bees most recently. I would love to try the cinnamon bun or the peppermint ice.

I use ChapStick Medicated…I like the burn so I would love to try the peppermint ice lip butter sounds wonderful!

I use ChapStick in various flavors. I use it all the time. I’d love to try the Coconut Mango or the Orance Creamsicle and would love to find something that lasts.

Well its going to be hard to beat what I use. The brand is Melaleuca/SunShades–flavor is pina colada. Maybe I would like to try the peppermint Ice. Maybe it would have a tingly feel to it. Thanks for giving us a chance of trying something different.

I’m a chapstick fanatic. Yes, I love the stuff. I use to by lip smackers, but learned that it may not be the best for me. So, I’ve gone to buying different stuff from Whole Foods 365, Aveda, Berts Bees, and more I’m sure. I like to have one on my dresser, in my car, in my purse, in my vanity. I’m missing one for my car now. I’d love to try yours! They all sound good, but if I must choose – coconut mango! Thanks

I have made my own, and used Burt’s Bees my husband bought. I don’t use lip balm too much, but I am really trying to get in the habit of using it…maybe your new Cinnamon Bun lip butter would do the trick:)

I love to use all natural lip balms – either made by moi or any crafter. Etsy is my friend when it comes to finding great lip balms that are nourishing and kind to my poor dry winter lips.

My favorite lip balm has been Body Shop’s Strawberry in the little pots – in the winter I have at least three scattered throughout the house and in my purse.. It has always been able to bring my lips back form the brink of serious chapping in less than a day. But, I’m always open to new products. Your Vanilla Latte sounds divine!

Lately I have been using plain Vaseline at night and first thing in the morning, but I carry a Burt’s Bees stick in my purse. I like it a lot, but I find after wearing it for a while, my lipstick won’t go on very well. I have to completely take off the Burt’s before applying. Plus, I seem to have a permanent chap line just below my lower lip. What’s up with that?!
I’d love to try the Peppermint Ice flavor.

My husband is also addicted, as am I!! We currently use vanilla chapstick but I have a tinted kind from HerbalGrace that has beeswax, olive oil and other goodies(no petrol-ick at all). It is nice but seems to slide off quickly and hubby can’t use it due to the tint. I guess he could but he might get teased at work, lol. We’d love to test drive any of your flavors!!
