Fun in Ohio
I just got back from Ohio yesterday afternoon and I had a wonderful time! I got to see my friend’s new baby and she’s as sweet as can be. I’m actually glad I got to meet her now that she’s four months old and responding with smiles and laughter. I definitely got my baby fix for now.
The two older kids were fun to play with too! They are almost exactly the same age as my girls. We jumped on their trampoline for awhile and took turns doing “tricks”. Even though we have our own trampoline, I’ve never jumped on it. Somehow, it just didn’t seem safe with the rusty springs and the canvas just starting to tear on one side. However, since their trampoline was in perfect condition, I decided to join the fun – and I’m glad I did!
All of the girls had a fun day on Monday. We drove to Springfield (every state has a Springfield, right?) and had lunch at Panera. Then Summer surprised me with my belated birthday gift – pedicures! We also decided to get matching pa-JAM’-as at Kohl’s. (She says pa-JAH’-mas).
Not only did I get to have lots of laughs and fun girl time, but before I left, I ran into one of my soap customers and her husband in the Kansas City airport. They were on my connecting flight to Chicago! We visited in the terminal before we got on the plane and realized that I used to babysit their daughter’s boyfriend – almost 19 years ago!
Fun times, great memories. Hopefully we can do it again soon!

Pa-JAM-a…pa-JAH-ma…reminds me of a conversation we once had!! I think Summer and I would get along just fine.
Love you!

Well of course you would! You’re both Southern to the core!

Hi Kam! It’s going really well, actually! Thanks for the compliment. I’m getting ready to do a fall giveaway, so be sure to post a comment on the next post to enter!
