First Day of School

first day of school First Day of School

First Day of School

Yesterday my girls started 1st and 3rd grades!! (Fortunately they never ended up needing the umbrellas, although it poured down rain while they were at school.) My parents were here and walked with us to school. They stayed until the girls got home from school too, so today is my first day ALL BY MYSELF. It’s amazingly quiet, but I have plenty to do – just have to stay on top of things and not fritter away my time on the computer!

In case you were wondering, here’s the update on blessing my wonderful mail carrier: you can still order $20 worth of Great Cakes Soapworks products and get a free soap. For example: buy 4 soaps for $20 and get one free! Just for you, I will make the Pumpkin Pie and Cherries & Chestnuts soaps available, but they are ONLY in the Handmade Soap Combo Deal. I’ve only received ONE letter for my wonderful mail carrier so far, so if you can’t make an order right now, please take a moment and send a line to me. I know she will just be thrilled!

Awwww, what a beautiful picture! How nice that you walk them to school!! I wish our school was close enough to walk to. I cannot imagine having the house all to myself for 6 whole hours once all my kids are in school. I think I’ll probably spend the first week just laying on the sofa reading magazines!!!!

Cute picture! Your girls looked packed and ready to go :) Do your kids start school this early every year? My kids start, I think, around Sept. 7 or 8 this year. Always after labor day. I can’t believe school is here already.
