Baby Robins, almost 2 weeks old
I took these pictures just two days before our baby robins left the nest. In case you missed the
original post, the first baby hatched on Mother’s Day, and the second one the day after. You can see what they looked like last week
here. Now just two weeks later, they are gone. I’m so glad we have more than two short weeks to enjoy our babies before they leave home! I wonder if Mama Robin is sad. Actually, she’s probably relieved! No more nervous twitching from all the humans coming over to peek in her nest and poke at her babies (I KNOW my daughter was poking them. She told me it made their beaks open.) Yes, I think Mama Robin is pretty happy right about now!
